L1/L2 Field Desktop & Network Engineer
About the Role
Graftronics is looking for an experienced L1/L2 Field Desktop & Network Engineer to join our technical support team in Mumbai.
This is a hands-on field engineering role where you will work directly with client teams and support their day-to-day IT infrastructure.
You will troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktops, laptops, servers, networks, firewalls, Wi-Fi and Microsoft environments.
The role offers exposure to different customer environments and a wide range of technologies. You will be expected to diagnose problems, implement solutions and ensure that client IT environments remain stable, secure and operational.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving technical problems, is comfortable working with customers and wants to build deeper experience across IT infrastructure.
What You Will Do
- Provide L1/L2 on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers and network devices.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows operating systems and server environments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity and user access.
- Provide basic troubleshooting support for servers, firewalls, Office 365 and Wi-Fi.
- Work with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, switches and routers.
- Support users with Microsoft Outlook, email and Office 365 related issues.
- Assist with user account creation, configuration and Office 365 licensing.
- Manage and troubleshoot antivirus, endpoint security and patch management activities.
- Monitor and respond to technical support tickets and escalate issues when required.
- Work with senior engineers and the internal team to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Visit client locations across Mumbai for on-site installation, troubleshooting and technical support.
- Maintain proper documentation of issues, resolutions and client infrastructure.
- Ensure assigned issues are resolved within agreed service timelines.
- Maintain a professional and customer-friendly approach at all client locations.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of experience in desktop, network or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Good understanding of Windows Server environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking, switches, routers and Wi-Fi.
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of firewalls and network security devices.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Outlook and user licensing.
- Experience with endpoint protection, antivirus and patch management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate comfortably with users, IT teams and client stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently at client locations.
- Willingness to travel to client sites across Mumbai.
- A two-wheeler and valid driving licence will be preferred.
- MCSA, CCNA or relevant Microsoft/networking certifications will be an advantage.
